Mission Support Services (MSS)

Security, 24/7 monitoring and comprehensive support for organisations with personnel deployed anywhere in the world

When an organisation deploys personnel internationally, mission success depends on much more than logistics. ACK3 provides comprehensive Mission Support Services combining security, operational coordination, 24/7 monitoring, local assistance and continuous support before, during and after deployment. From educational and humanitarian projects to corporate operations, critical infrastructure assignments and deployments in complex environments, we help organisations protect their people, maintain operational continuity and respond effectively to incidents wherever their missions take them.

Global intelligence. Local capability.

Remote monitoring has a limit, and that limit is reached the moment someone needs to be collected, moved or taken to a hospital. ACK3 activates resources on the ground according to the requirement: meet & greet and airport assistance, secure transportation with vetted drivers, close protection where the threat assessment justifies it, local security advisors, medical providers and secure accommodation. All coordinated from the GSOC, not handed over as a phone number.

The difference is not the alert. It is that someone answers, decides, and sends a car.

Permanent oversight of your people, wherever they are

The ACK3 Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) provides 24/7 monitoring, intelligence and operational support to protect people, assets and missions anywhere in the world. Our analysts detect emerging threats, track personnel and movements, assess incidents in real time and coordinate the response when support is required. Integrated with the ACK3 Travel Risk Monitor or other platforms, it centralises alerts, communications, geolocation and operational information within a single secure environment.

Strengthen your Duty of Care with permanent monitoring, real-time intelligence and rapid response capability to protect your people and maintain operational continuity.

Mission success depends on much more than logistics

Moving people internationally is straightforward. Knowing whether it is safe to travel, where your teams should stay, what is happening around them and who reaches them if something goes wrong is a different capability altogether. ACK3 Mission Support Services places a permanent layer of intelligence, security, monitoring and operational capability around your people while they work or travel internationally — before, during and after the mission. It forms part of our Mission Critical Support capabilities.

What the service covers

The full mission cycle

The service follows the traveller or team through three phases, each with its own deliverables.

Phase What it includes
Before the mission Country, destination and project risk assessment · threat analysis · pre-travel security briefing · accommodation, transport and route recommendations · medical and safe-point mapping · journey management plan · communication and emergency protocols
During the mission 24/7 GSOC monitoring · traveller tracking and check-in protocols · real-time actionable alerts · route monitoring · secure transportation, meet & greet and airport assistance · local security support and advisors
After / incident response Incident and crisis management · escalation procedures · medical and hospital coordination · secure relocation and evacuation support · liaison with insurers and assistance providers · incident reporting and lessons learned

Core capabilities

Intelligence and analysis

Capability What it provides
Travel risk intelligence Assessment at city, district, route and traveller-profile level — political and social context, crime, terrorism, kidnap, health and transport — refreshed against the mission, not filed once.
Travel risk management Support in building or professionalising a travel risk management framework: approval thresholds, destination classification, briefings, monitoring, escalation and reporting.
Real-time alerts Analyst-reviewed rather than automated. What is happening, who among your people is affected, how serious it is and what they should do next.

Operational capability

Capability What it provides
Traveller tracking Visibility over who is travelling and who falls inside the footprint of an incident. Deployed proportionately, under a privacy framework agreed in advance.
Journey management Route selection and alternatives, critical points, vetted drivers and vehicles, check-in procedures and arrival confirmation. Connects with logistics support on larger projects.
Crisis & emergency support Unrest, criminal incidents, medical emergencies, natural disasters, transport disruption or evacuation — moving from information to decision, and from decision to action.

Mission Support Services is not a travel security platform. It is an operational security capability — technology supports the analysts, it does not replace them.

Integrated with ACK3 capabilities

Depending on the requirement, Mission Support Services draws on other capabilities across the firm:

ACK3 capability How it connects
Global Security Operations Center The 24/7 monitoring and coordination structure behind every mission.
Crisis Management When an incident escalates beyond the individual traveller or team.
Kidnap & Ransom Specialist response in destinations where kidnap is a live threat.
Logistics Support Movement of people and equipment where infrastructure is limited.
Enterprise Security Risk Management For organisations building travel risk into wider security governance.
Organisational Resilience Business continuity when a disruption affects more than one location.

How does your organisation meet its Duty of Care when employees work abroad?

Duty of care is not discharged by a policy document. It requires knowing where your people are, what is happening around them and being able to reach them when it matters. The ACK3 Travel Risk Monitor brings those three things into a single environment, through two components: a risk management platform and a tracking, monitoring and geolocation module.

What is the ACK3 Travel Risk Monitor?

The ACK3 Travel Risk Monitor (TRM) is a platform built to manage and mitigate the risks associated with employee travel. It gives organisations a single place to monitor where their people are, assess the risks around them and communicate critical information in real time.

The TRM combines tracking technology with global security data to give organisations a centralised view of the safety of their employees, wherever they are in the world.

Platform components

  • Web portal. Real-time insight into essential security data through a single point of access.
  • Mobile application. Security features and alerts on the move, including emergency assistance.

Together they allow organisations to identify and respond to threats before they escalate, assist employees during an emergency, and maintain compliance with data protection requirements. The platform scales from a single travelling team to a global workforce.

Suitable for organisations of any size, with configuration adapted to how each one already works.

Tracking, Monitoring and Geolocator

The second component of the TRM consolidates tracking data and alerts from multiple devices into a single interface, so organisations can establish where their personnel are and respond quickly to an emergency.

Keeping your people safe

  • Visualise. Tracking information from personnel and devices on a configurable map, with nearby assets, secure locations and geofences.
  • Collaborate. A shared, centralised view of the data, so teams in different locations work from the same picture.
  • Respond. Real-time alerts triggered by the people in your care, managed and reviewed from one place.

More than a platform: the TRM works alongside Mission Support Services and 24/7 GSOC support — technology plus the people who act on it.

Frequently asked questions

Is Mission Support Services only for high-risk countries?

No. Many incidents affecting travellers occur in destinations that are not classified as high risk — road accidents, medical emergencies, or unrest that develops quickly around an election or a court decision. The service scales to the environment: monitoring and briefings in stable destinations, full operational support where the threat picture requires it.

Do we need to replace our existing travel platform?

No. Mission Support Services works alongside the ACK3 Travel Risk Monitor or with the platform and travel management company you already use. The value we add sits above the tooling — analysis, decision support and the capability to act.

How does traveller tracking work with privacy requirements?

Tracking is deployed proportionately and under a framework agreed with you before the mission — what is collected, for how long, who can access it and on what legal basis. It exists to identify who is affected by an incident, not to supervise employees.

Can you support a single trip, or is a retainer required?

A single mission is a normal engagement. Many clients begin with one deployment and move to a project or retainer model once the requirement becomes recurring.

Who decides whether the deployment goes ahead?

You do. We provide the assessment, the reasoning behind it and clear recommendations, including the conditions that would change our view. The authority to deploy remains with your organisation.

How quickly can the service be set up?

It depends on the destination and the scope of local support required. Assessment and briefing can be delivered at short notice; arrangements involving vetted drivers, protection or accommodation need lead time proportionate to the environment. Tell us the dates and we will tell you what is realistic.

Which regions do you cover?

Coverage is global, combining monitoring from our Global Security Operations Center with access to vetted local resources. The depth of on-the-ground support varies by country, and we will tell you plainly what is available in a given destination before you commit.
