Jorge Quintana from ACK3 collaborates on “El Cascabel” program of TRECE TV to analyze the situation in Afghanistan

Madrid, Spain – CEO of ACK3, Jorge Quintana, participated as a Middle East intelligence specialist on TRECE TV‘s “El Cascabel” program, where the current situation in Afghanistan was discussed.

In August 2021, Afghanistan experienced a series of significant events culminating in the return of the Taliban to power. As NATO forces, led by the United States, began to withdraw from the country after nearly two decades of military presence, the Taliban intensified its military operations and rapidly gained ground. The takeover of several major cities and the lack of significant resistance from the Afghan government led to a rapid collapse, resulting in the escape of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and the Taliban’s entry into Kabul on August 15, 2021.

This event marked the beginning of a new regime controlled by the Taliban in Afghanistan, raising concerns about human rights, security, and stability in the region. In his intervention, Jorge Quintana, from his perspective as an expert in global risk consulting and strategic intelligence specializing in the Middle East, highlighted the complexity of the situation in Afghanistan and offered a detailed analysis of recent events.

Quintana pointed out that negotiations between the United States and Afghanistan began two years ago with President Trump, culminating in an agreement in February of last year in Doha. Since then, the Taliban has been in negotiations with tribal leaders and rulers, preparing for the unfolding events. He emphasized that the decision of the United States to withdraw from the country after a 20-year war, along with NATO and other powers, has had a significant impact on the morale and combat capability of the Afghan army.

Jorge Quintana’s comprehensive analysis on TRECE TV’s “El Cascabel” offers a deep and insightful view of the situation in Afghanistan and its implications globally. You can watch the interview here.
