Signing of the NEXO Transmil project in Huete

9/06/2024

The corporate social responsibility (CSR) project of ACK3 represents a step forward in military transition

Huete, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain – This Sunday, June 9th, the signing ceremony for the transfer of the “Escuelas Para la Vida” facilities to the NEXO Transmil Association took place in Huete, marking the start of their social project for the orderly transition of military personnel and specific training.

ACK3 is itself a living example of the NEXO Transmil military transition

The event was attended by members of the Asociación de Escuelas para la Vida, who facilitated the transfer, representatives from the Huete town hall, including Mayor Francisco Javier Doménech, and members of ACK3, such as Operations Director, and CEO. These two members are living examples of the military transition to the civilian corporate world.

Objective and development

The NEXO Transmil project aims to demonstrate the value of military skills in the private sector. This project was achieved thanks to the involvement of the mayor, who, being connected to the military field, facilitated its attraction to Huete. Since early 2023, contacts and visits to Huete have been made in search of suitable facilities, ultimately choosing the ceded property. The requirements included being less than two hours from Madrid, having extensive facilities for training, and being economically accessible.

With a planned development over three years, this project aims to become a leading training center in Spain. The transfer of the “Escuelas para la Vida” property will enable the orderly transition of military personnel to the private sector and public or non-governmental organizations, promoting a culture of defense and security among the youth.

The objective is to train, support, and assist 5,000 people in military transition, carry out suicide prevention and mental health actions, and maintain a permanent support and assistance program. NEXO Transmil facilitates an orderly transition to the private sector, supporting these individuals in a new phase of their lives, contributing to social good.

The municipality of Huete will benefit as the first destination to offer military personnel a life project outside the army, welcoming more residents and professionals across various sectors. This project will be a tool to combat depopulation, generating jobs and settling professionals in the region.
