At ACK3 we take pride in being a leading consultancy in strategic intelligence and global risk management. Founded in 2010 by veterans of the Spanish Special Forces, our boutique firm has established itself as a benchmark in risk control and intelligence consulting. We have opened the selection process for a Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst specialising in Intelligence.

We are looking for a professional able to operate in dynamic risk environments, turn information from multiple sources into actionable intelligence and help anticipate threats that may affect our clients, operations and assets.

Your mission: anticipate risk before it materialises. You will join the team responsible for the permanent monitoring of the security and risk environment, identifying early signals, trends and relevant changes. Your role will be to turn scattered information into knowledge, intelligence and operational judgement, providing a clear picture of what is happening, what may happen and what the implications are. You will work with disciplines such as OSINT, GEOINT, digital source analysis, economic intelligence and virtual HUMINT, within a professional, ethical and legal framework.

What you will do

Procedures, capabilities and tools

  • Design and maintain the SOC’s operational and intelligence procedures.
  • Configure and optimise tools, sources, indicators and monitoring systems.
  • Identify new sources and assess their reliability, relevance and analytical value.
  • Drive automation, data integration and continuous process improvement.
  • Keep playbooks, knowledge bases and operational documentation up to date.

Monitoring and early warning

  • Carry out continuous monitoring of the security, geopolitical, economic and operational environment.
  • Detect indicators, anomalies and early warning signals of threat.
  • Monitor conflict, terrorism, crime, political instability, civil unrest, disasters and other relevant risks.
  • Correlate events and sources to identify emerging trends and patterns.
  • Generate and escalate Early Warnings according to their criticality, likelihood and impact.

Analysis and production

  • Produce risk and threat assessments for countries, regions, cities, facilities and operations.
  • Deliver area security assessments, situation analyses and environment awareness studies.
  • Prepare due diligence, economic and corporate intelligence reports.
  • Analyse actors, organisations, networks, interests and relationships, and report on them.
  • Answer RFIs (Requests For Information) with fast, verified and traceable responses.
  • Turn complex information into executive products geared to decision-making.

Incidents and operational support

  • Investigate and analyse incidents, determining root cause, scope, impact, evolution and context.
  • Develop mitigation strategies based on the analysis of each incident.
  • Correlate information to build a Common Operational Picture (COP).
  • Support the assessment of scenarios, mitigation measures and response options.
  • Provide intelligence for the planning of operations, travel, deployments and evacuations.
  • Keep information on ongoing operations up to date.

Training and development

  • Take part in intelligence and security training and awareness programmes.
  • Share methodologies and best practice with the SOC team.
  • Stay permanently up to date on threats, methodologies and intelligence technologies.

What we are looking for

We are looking for professionals with solid training in intelligence, security and analysis, able to operate in international environments and turn complex information into knowledge that supports decision-making.

Education

  • University degree, preferably in International Relations, Criminology, Security Management, Political Science, Law or related disciplines.
  • A Master’s degree or specialised training in Intelligence, Cyber Intelligence, Security or Economic Intelligence will be particularly valued.
  • Military training or equivalent professional experience in intelligence, operations or security will be viewed positively.

Essential requirements

  • Knowledge of research methodologies applied to intelligence and of analytical techniques.
  • Command of the main collection disciplines, particularly OSINT and virtual HUMINT.
  • Knowledge of intelligence, counter-intelligence, security and cybersecurity concepts and procedures.
  • Solid grounding in Strategy, Security and Defence, as well as in economic intelligence and risk analysis.
  • Ability to research, verify, evaluate and correlate information from different sources.
  • Native or C1-level Spanish, both spoken and written, and English at B2 level as a minimum.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritise information and perform reliably under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and in a structured way.

Additionally valued

  • Command of and/or certification in analysis and intelligence tools such as Maltego, IBM i2 Analyst’s Notebook, Palantir, Constella Intelligence, BlueFusion or equivalents.
  • Previous experience in a Security Operations Centre (SOC), operations centres or 24/7 monitoring environments.
  • Experience in risk analysis, operational security, crisis management or organisational resilience.
  • Knowledge of GEOINT, geospatial analysis, network analysis, automation or data processing.
  • A third language, preferably French or Arabic.
  • International experience or knowledge of complex geopolitical and security environments.
Beyond the tools

Tools can be learned. Judgement is built.

We will place particular value on your attitude, analytical ability, initiative and professional judgement in finding effective solutions for the organisation. We are looking for people able to question information, identify what matters, connect different elements and turn data into actionable intelligence.

Just as important as technical ability will be your capacity to work as part of a team, build trust and establish solid professional relationships with colleagues, clients and partners.

What we offer

  • Joining a company with a solid position and an established reputation in the global risk and international security sector.
  • Participation in a strategic project under full development, with real prospects for professional growth.
  • An international, open and flexible environment geared to learning and continuous improvement.
  • Direct integration into the organisation, with a permanent contract and job stability.
  • Flexible working hours, adapted to the operational and management needs of the project.
  • Competitive salary, in line with the candidate’s experience, knowledge and responsibilities.
  • The opportunity to work with real information, technologies and security scenarios, developing high-value professional capabilities.
Indicative career path

The role is designed as an entry position into a professional career specialised in operations and intelligence:
